Its smoked sapphire dial fades from black at the outer edge to transparent at the center, offering a clear view of the skeletonized architecture while preserving the distinctive Chronomaster identity.

At the heart of the watch beats the El Primero 3600 SK, a modern evolution of the famous high-frequency chronograph movement first introduced by Zenith in 1969. Operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5Hz), the movement allows the chronograph to measure time with an accuracy of 1/10th of a second. Unlike traditional chronographs, the central chronograph seconds hand completes one full rotation every ten seconds, allowing the tenth-of-a-second scale on the ceramic bezel to be read instantly.

The openworked construction highlights the movement’s architecture while maintaining its chronometric performance. Visible through both the dial and sapphire caseback are key elements such as the column wheel, horizontal clutch and silicon escape wheel, designed to enhance precision and durability. Despite its high-frequency operation, the automatic movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours and features a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time setting.

Zenith’s unmistakable chronograph aesthetic remains intact. The overlapping chronograph counters in grey, anthracite and blue reference the iconic El Primero design from 1969, while faceted rhodium-plated hands and applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova ensure excellent legibility.

The 41mm stainless steel case combines brushed and polished finishes, reinforcing the sporty yet refined character of the Chronomaster Sport. A scratch-resistant black ceramic bezel, graduated over ten seconds, allows the chronograph to display 1/10th-second measurements with precision. Water resistance is rated to 10 ATM, making the watch suitable for everyday wear as well as active use.
