About Parmigiani Fleurier
The Parmigiani story starts in 1976, when Michel Parmigiani sets up a restoration workshop in the town of Couvet. Against the advice of many, Michel Parmigiani’s focus is set to traditional watchmaking. Besides the restoration of some of the most impressive watches and clocks ever made, not long after Mr. Parmigiani also starts creating unique pieces for demanding collectors - though the formal incorporation of Parmigiani Fleurier wouldn't be until 1996. Today Parmigiani Fleurier is one of a select few independent manufacturers able to produce nearly every single component in-house -from the smallest of gears to complete movements, cases and dials -which it does through five highly specialized facilities. From the slender Tonda 1950 to its highly complicated 'haute horlogerie' models, every watch is finished with the greatest attention to detail.
