Bell & Ross was founded in 1992 by the French Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo. They aspired to create watches suited for professionals whose occupation caused them to encounter harsh conditions like exceptional temperatures, violent accelerations and dangerous atmospheric pressure. To accomplish this, the Paris-based brand devised the idea of 'form follows design', which it based on four key principles: legibility, functionality, precision and water-resistance. Despite being a young brand, Bell & Ross has accomplished a number of impressive achievements. The year 2005 marked the introduction of the BR01. With its remarkable square case resembling an airplane instrument, the latter arguably is the most iconic watch from Bell & Ross to date.
