The SB04-E Ruby Platinum brings one of nature’s most extraordinary materials into the refined world of contemporary watchmaking. Housed in a 39.5mm stainless steel case, this edition features a dial cut from genuine ruby—an exceptional rarity in watch design, both for its visual impact and the technical demands of working with the stone.

Each dial is crafted from Cœur de Rubis, a natural ruby sourced from Tanzania and shaped in Germany near Sartory Billard’s own workshop. No two are alike. Variations in hue, veining, and surface texture make every watch unique, with natural imperfections that highlight the organic beauty of the stone. A platinum-coated fumé outer ring surrounds the ruby core, adding a soft gradient and refined contrast that draws the eye inward.

A defining Sartory Billard signature is the floating sapphire disk, only 0.3 mm thick and anti-reflective on both sides, which holds diamond-cut indexes and luminous Y-pattern minute markers in BGW9 Super-LumiNova®. The result is a layered, architectural composition with depth and striking clarity.

The 316L steel case blends brushed and polished surfaces, a concave bezel, and visually separate lugs that help the watch wear thinner than its 10.3 mm height suggests. A screw-down crown with luminous logo insert ensures water resistance to 100 meters and features a trio of refined textures for grip and distinction.

Inside is the La Joux-Perret G101—a Swiss automatic movement with 68-hour power reserve and a 4Hz beat rate. The signature fluted decoration, once on the rotor, now appears on the case back, allowing the watch to be slimmer and better proportioned overall.

The SB04-E is offered on a CTS rubber strap by Delugs, curved to match the case and fitted with a folding clasp. Customers can choose their preferred strap color after ordering, and may also select from a wide range of Delugs leather straps in various sizes and finishes.
