The Renaud Tixier Monday Racing Green introduces a warmer, more sporting expression of the brand’s inaugural watch, pairing the revised Monday dial architecture with a 5N rose gold case. The result is a composition that balances neo-classical structure with a distinctly tactile and organic character.
The dial combines British Racing Green tones with taupe and grey accents, executed in a grained and chiselled finish enriched by a circular satin treatment at the center. A broadened flange and re-proportioned applied indices give the display greater visual presence, while the double index at twelve reinforces legibility. The off-center small seconds at 4:30 echoes the geometry of the minute track, establishing a clear rhythm across the dial. Branding remains understated, allowing color, texture, and proportion to define the watch’s personality.
Powering the watch is the in-house developed RVI2023 caliber, built around a patented self-winding system that combines a platinum micro-rotor with a central inertia wheel and tempered steel “Danseur” spring. This architecture improves energy transmission and incorporates a shock-protection disengagement system. Operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, the movement offers a minimum power reserve of 60 hours and is finished entirely by hand, including extensive inward angles, black polishing, engraving, and grand feu enamel details.
The 40.8 mm rose gold case is hand-engraved along the flanks and between the lugs, reinforcing the close relationship between movement and exterior. A domed sapphire crystal and sapphire case back reveal the depth of finishing throughout the watch. The Racing Green version is paired with a British green calf leather strap with a textile-like texture, hand-stitched to complement the dial’s layered surface.
Produced in extremely limited quantities, the Monday Racing Green reflects Renaud Tixier’s approach to watchmaking as a dialogue between innovation, materiality, and traditional craft.
