As blue as the inflatable dolphins bobbing on sparkling pools, the kitchens of rustic farmhouses, or the classic racing bikes from Italy—this hue exudes a cheerful, inviting, and vibrant energy. Tangente Datum Delfin appears to draw inspiration from numerous sources tied to fond memories. The color intensity of this remarkable timepiece rivals that of Tangente Datum Boje in fluorescent orange: both exude boldness, intensity, and a sense of positivity. However, here, the gray sub-seconds dial acts as a stabilizing force, ensuring the dolphins don't become too exuberant and start performing backflips—providing a grounding and necessary counterpoint.
This watch is part of a set of 31 limited edition watches in 31 unique color ways. Created in limited edition of 175 pieces each, these were made to celebrate 175 years of watchmaking in the town of Glashuette in typical NOMOS fashion. They're all based on the template provided by the Tangente 38 Date with see-through case back. As a thank-you to collectors, the watches in this set (don't call it the Super 31) are priced several hundred euro's below the standard production model. They're available at select NOMOS retail partners - including Ace Jewelers. We'll be getting only one of each colorway.
