The MING 57.04 Iris marks the debut of the brand’s fifth-generation design language and introduces two significant firsts: a 40mm case with stepped, multi-part lugs, and MING’s first-ever destro monopusher chronograph. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, the Iris represents a landmark moment in the independent brand’s journey.
The stainless steel case showcases alternating brushed and polished surfaces, with sculptural three-step lugs comprised of nine individual components. Water resistant to 100 meters, the watch combines bold presence with daily practicality. The sapphire crystal features laser-cut indices filled with luminous MING Polar White, ensuring legibility day and night.
At the heart of the Iris lies the Sellita for MING SW562.M1, a hand-wound monopusher chronograph movement developed in collaboration with Sellita. It offers a central chronograph seconds, a 30-minute counter at 6 o’clock, and a tactile crown and pusher positioned on the left for comfort on the wrist. The movement is finished with an anthracite baseplate and a sculptural 4N-coated three-quarter plate.
The dial gives the Iris its name: a deeply dished surface with a multiphasic coating that shifts fluidly between turquoise, purple, and blue depending on the light. A sandwich-style chronograph minute counter overflowing with Super-LumiNova X1 adds further depth. Supplied with both the stainless steel Universal Bracelet and an anthracite goat strap, the 57.04 Iris reflects MING’s continued commitment to innovation, detail, and design integrity.
