The MING 56.00 Starfield introduces the brand’s fifth-generation design language and marks MING’s first watch conceived from the outset with a fully integrated bracelet. The design is approached as a single, cohesive object, with case and bracelet developed together rather than as separate elements.
The stainless-steel case measures 40 mm in diameter and 9.7 mm in thickness. Its form is defined by progressive curvature across multiple axes, allowing the watch to sit close to the wrist while maintaining a continuous visual flow from bracelet to case. A HyCeram luminous insert integrated into the case flank provides a subtle nocturnal signature and references earlier MING designs where a strap would traditionally meet the case.
The integrated bracelet plays a central role in the Starfield’s character. Curved links and elevated pivot points allow it to articulate smoothly across a wide range of wrist sizes, reducing pressure points and avoiding gaps. For sizing, MING introduces a patent-pending, tool-less link system operated via discreet sliders on the reverse of each removable link. During wear, fine adjustment is handled by a slim push-button clasp with an integrated micro-adjustment mechanism, offering up to 5 mm of total adjustment in 1.25 mm increments.
The dial is executed in sapphire and measures 1.7 mm in thickness. Internally lasered to form MING’s proprietary Mosaic structure, it introduces depth and spatial complexity beneath the surface. Blued hands and crystal-set indices are combined with MING Polar White and Super-LumiNova X1, balancing legibility with a restrained luminous character. A seamless box sapphire crystal encloses the dial, reinforcing the watch’s unified architecture.
Through the sapphire case back, the Starfield reveals a distinctive animated element. A luminous starfield effect appears on the movement side, with points of light elongating into streaks as the rotor moves, becoming especially pronounced in low-light conditions.
The watch is powered by the automatic Calibre 3002.M1, produced by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier for MING. The movement offers approximately 50 hours of power reserve and features a slim architecture that supports the Starfield’s refined proportions while retaining a display back.
As the launch edition of a new family within the MING collection, the 56.00 Starfield is limited to 20 pieces worldwide. Each watch is delivered in newly developed packaging created in collaboration with Royal Selangor.
