The Horologer MING 37.08 Starlight with its Aventurine dial brings to mind a clear night sky, with subtly sparkling stars over a deep blue-black base. The Aventurine itself can vary significantly in both color and metallic sparkle; Horologer MING went through quite a number of variants before finding one with the desired effect. It is an unapologetically formal interpretation of the 37 series form that remains at home in a wide variety of situations. 

Being a polished dial, an additional sapphire layer is not required for the watch to deliver MING's signature inversion under certain angles of light. This allows them to keep the construction to the minimum number of layers, as the Aventurine itself is delicate and must have a substantial metal backing for support. The hands of the 37.08 Starlight are anthracite coated and feature MING's new lume process. A new Super-LumiNova X1 formulation applied in multiple printing passes increases both homogeneity and longevity of glow. At 38x10.9mm, it retains the now familiar 37-series case in stainless steel, and includes the narrow bezel and brushed-polished case finish that makes the watch visually larger and thinner than dimensions suggest, whilst remaining pleasantly comfortable on the wrist.

Powering the watch is the hand-winding Sellita SW210.M1 in our unique execution of skeletonized rhodium bridges and a dark matte anthracite base. Horologer MING tried many strap combinations, but the team unanimously felt the watch was best paired with the signature 20mm second generation universal bracelet to enhance the overall shine of the piece. It features sculpted leaf links, quick release, hidden double butterfly clasp, and is also compatible with any other 20mm-lug width MING piece you might already own.
