Back in February of 2016 we were one of the first high-end jewelers to start accepting payments by Bitcoin, fully integrated into our eCommerce platform through our partners of BitPay. Back then the rate was about EUR 400, while today it has skyrocketed to over EUR 15.000 - wow!

While processing a couple of payments yesterday Alon and I had a brief chat, and we thought it'd be fun to see what one single Bitcoin would get you from our eBoutique today - and perhaps even check back in every now and then with an update. I just checked and one Bitcoin equals EUR 15.426,44 while writing this, which will be our cap for today. I'll stick to watches we have in stock, so it'll still be possible to have them on your wrist before Christmas - if you act fast!

One Bitcoin gets you: the IWC Portugieser Automatic

The IWC Portugieser is a stunning watch with some serious horological firepower under the hood, and this blue-dialed version is one of the latest additions to the collection. It retails at EUR 12.900 (incl. 21% VAT), which will leave you with enough spare change to go wild with straps.

The Portugieser Automatic reference IW500710 is available in our eBoutique.

One Bitcoin gets you: the Bulgari Octo Finissimo

Bulgari Octo Finissimo 102713

The Bulgari Octo Finissimo is one of our favorite watches of 2017. I got to wear it for our It's Not Mine series and simply loved it. As a testament to my impeccable taste it even went on to win the Men's Watch prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie Geneve! While it is pictured here with the bracelet, the one we currently have in stock has the alligator strap. At 12.500 (incl. 21% VAT) it even leaves room for another GPGH winner.

The Bulgari Octo Finissimo is available in our eBoutique.

One Bitcoin gets you: the Breguet Classique Serpetine Power Reserve

This Breguet Classique Serpetine Power Reserve is a near mint example from our Ace Pre-Owned collection. It features a white gold case of a restraint 36.3mm, and a regulator-style dial lay-out with a serpetine hand to indicate the date. The style is quintessential Breguet, and I feel it's perfectly suited for an elegant Christmas dinner. While originally a men's watch, today the size works equally well on a ladies wrist. I think @MissAceJewelers might have a pic somewhere?

The Breguet Classique Serpetine Power Reserve is available in our eBoutique.

One Bitcoin gets you: the NOMOS Lux Zikade

The Lux Zikade is one of NOMOS' finest. Or is it funkiest? Weirdest? In any case it's an acquired taste, but once you've come to love it there's no way back. This watch features a tonneau-shaped case in rose gold, which houses the B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. caliber DUW 2002. You might not notice it at first glance, but the off-white dial is surrounded by bright yellow. It comes in at EUR 13.800 (incl. 21% VAT). Indeed, there's enough left for a Tangente! Now that would be a killer two-watch NOMOS collection.

The Lux Zikade is available in our eBoutique.

One Bitcoin gets you: the Ulysse Nardin Classico Automatic Email Grand Feu

Ulysse Nardin Classico Email Grand Feu

The Ulysse Nardin Classico Automatic is pure elegance. It features a rose gold case of 40mm housing the self-winding caliber UN-815, and a bright white grand feu enamel dial. Time is indicated through a set of blued hands. This limited edition of 99 pieces has a retail price of EUR 14.800 (incl. 21% VAT). May I suggest to spend the spare EUR 600 on a nice pen, to get the full gentleman experience?

The Ulysse Nardin Classico Email Grand Feu is available in our eBoutique.

One Bitcoin gets you: you tell us?!

Last but not least: of course it'd be our pleasure to help you find the watch of your dreams. And while the above are all more or less priced at one BitCoin at the time of writing, we accept payment in BitCoin for anything from a pin buckle to the EUR 2.600.000 Frank Muller Aeternitas Mega 4!

Buying high-end watches and jewelry using BitCoin at Ace Jewelers is facilitated through BitPay, the largest bitcoin payment processor in the world, serving industry-leading merchants on six continents. BitPay has created a seamless, secure bitcoin payment experience used daily by hundreds of thousands of bitcoin users.
