This week we received our first Longines Avigation Big Eye L2.8220.127.116.11, a watch that was shown to us during BaselWorld 2017 yet not introduced to the larger public until recently. Of course I embraced the opportunity to shoot a few pics before it's sold!

I was quite taken with this watch when I got to handle it during BaselWorld and I'm happy to report that the watch still looked as good as I remembered. A decent case size, a cool military'esque dial, a self-winding movement with column wheel, and a decent price - what's not to like? Even the strap seems like a perfect fit, and this is something I feel could be done better on one too many occassion.

For this shoot I again aimed for a warm, vintage look that would compliment the origins of the watch and its design. I fitted our flash with a cone instead of the light box for slightly harder shadows. It proved to be an easy watch to shoot, with lot's of brushed areas and a good quality sapphire crystal with proper anti-reflective coating. I forgot to shoot a pic of the set-up, so here's one extra of the watch itself;
