Introducing the Zenith Defy Skyline!
Zenith is kicking off LVMH Watch Week 2022 with a brand new take on the Defy. The brand new Zenith Defy Skyline draws inspiration from the shape of the original A3642 of 1969, but reimagines it for the modern age. The 41mm angular stainless steel case is crowned by a facetted bezel with twelve sides. Sharply defined edged and chamfers show Zenith's mastery of case making, whilst practicalities such as a screw down crown ensure the watch is totally up to daily life.
The 2022 Zenith Defy Skyline is powered by the brand new caliber El Primero 3620. This self-winding movement is based on the architecture of the earlier El Primero 3600 1/10th of a second chronograph, and has an unusual function: the small seconds hand at 9:00 makes one rotation every 10 seconds. This hand is driven directly from the escapement, which beats at 5Hz (36’000 VpH), thus making it a “natural” fraction-of-a-second indication. It is also endowed with a stop-second mechanism for precise time-setting. The movement can be admired through the see-through case back.
The Zenith Defy Skyline is available with either a blue, black or silver dial. All versions come on a stainless steel bracelet and an additional rubber strap, both with quick strap change mechanism that make sure swapping is easy and fast.
