Introducing the Breitling Premier Heritage B25 Datora 42
Georges Kern took the reins at Breitling in 2017. One of the first new collections released under his leadership was the Premier. A remarkable change from the robust tool watches that the brand was known, the Premier introduced a new Breitling - sophisticated and elegant, suave and gentle[wo]manly.
For 2021, Breitling expands the Premier family with the Premier Heritage sub-collection. Doubling down on the vintage inspiration, the Premier Heritage brings back some of Breitling's finest designs in new versions that pair mid-century looks with 21st century specifications. Our focus for this article is the Breitling Premier Heritage B25 Datora 42; other variations include the Premier B09 Chronograph 40 and Premier B15 Duograph 42.
The 2021 Premier Heritage B25 Datora 42 is powered by an entirely new in-house, self-winding caliber called B25. This movement pairs a chronograph with a so-called 'full' calendar. This means it displays not only the date but also the day, month, and -in addition- the moon phase. The various displays are laid out exactly as they would've been some 60, 70 years ago. Symmetrical and balanced.
The case of the Breitling Premier Heritage B25 Datora 42 measures a contemporary 42mm across. It is available in either stainless steel or red gold. The former is paired with a warm copper dial, whilst the latter has silver dial. In either case thePremier Heritage B25 Datora 42 is fitted with alligator leather strap with a folding clasp matching the case material.
