Zenith introduces the Chronomaster Revival Shadow 97.T384.4061/21.C822
The Zenith El Primero Chronomaster A384 Revival was introduced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the El Primero chronograph movement in 2019. With this watch, first as ref. 03.A384.400/21.C815 and later also 03.A384.400/21.M384, Zenith offered a rather faithful reproduction of the original 1969 A384, combining charming vintage looks with updated manufacturing techniques (and materials).
With the new Chronomaster Revival Shadow 97.T384.4061/21.C822, Zenith adds a different twist to the -slightly quirky- canvas provided by the angular A384 case. Inspired by a prototype of a hand-wound chronograph from the 1970's, the new Revival Shadow has a micro-blasted titanium case and a black dial with grey counters and a grey tachymeter ring. The result? A dark and mysterious watch that feels resolutely modern, its subtle vintage dimensions notwithstanding.
Powering the Zenith Chronomaster Revival Shadow 97.T384.4061/21.C822 is -of course- a movement from the El Primero family in the form of caliber 4061. There's no date, which has the dial feeling particularly balanced. It comes fitted with a 'Cordura-effect' strap with blasted titanium buckle. The Revival Shadow is not a limited edition, though availability is to be confirmed.
