Omega introduces the Omega Seamaster 300M 126.96.36.199.01.001, the watch worn by Daniel Craig as 007 in the James Bond movie No Time to Die set for release in April of 2020. It's a stunner!
The latest watch in a rich line of Omega's tailor made for James Bond 007 is based on the canvas provided with the release of the 4th generation of the Seamaster 300M in 2018. The case is done in titanium and crowned by an aluminim bezel insert (yes fade!). It measures 42mm across. There's no date: this watch is powered by caliber 8806 rather than the 8800. The lack of a date window is a touch that highlights the instrumental feel that the titanium case already brings.
The tropical brown dial proudly sports the 'Broad Arrow' logo at 6:00. This symbol is traditionally used to mark government property such as military watches. The dome on the sapphire crystal is rather pronounced. It almost feels like the 'sexy' plexi found on Seamasters of days gone by.
As per its siblings in the regular collection, the Omega Seamaster 300M James Bond No Time to Die 188.8.131.52.01.001 is METAS-certified. It is water resistant up to depths of 300 meters, which should provide enough play room for even your wildest adventures. It is strapped to the wrist by means of a titanium Milanese (a.k.a. mesh) bracelet.
Reference 184.108.40.206.01.001 is similar, though this comes on a NATO strap.
