Today Omega introduced not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR new versions of one of our favorite watches: the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. Although very much alike at first glance, each of these variations has a decisively unique character due to the subtle differences that set them apart.
First up is the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Vintage Black reference 322.214.171.124.01.006. It earns its name through the use of brown indexes and hands, complimenting the 'vintage' Super-Luminova. It features a brown leather strap that pairs very well with the warm vintage tones of the dial and bezel.
The next model, the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Sedna Black 3126.96.36.199.06.001, can best be described as a combination of the Apollo 11 45th Anniversary and the original Dark Side of the Moon. This one features a Sedna-gold bezel and a matte dial.
The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Pitch Black 3188.8.131.52.01.004 is the one that looks most like the original Dark Side of the Moon, yet the color of the SuperLuminova and the absence of red accents do give it its own character.
Last but not least, there's the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Black Black 3184.108.40.206.01.005 - for those of you that thought the Dark Side of the Moon could do with an extra touch of black. Dial, hands, lumi and print: it's all BLACK!
