Every Resurgence is made to order, offering clients the opportunity to create a truly personal masterpiece. The Resurgence features a multi-layered dial, customizable in color and finish. Each layer is engine-turned separately, showcasing classic patterns such as barleycorn and J.N. Shapiro’s signature Infinity weave. The subdial is adorned with a finely detailed moiré pattern, while every numeral is individually machined and black-polished for maximum brilliance. The 38mm case, just 8.7mm thick excluding the crystal, carries the tradition of the finest American pocket watches with its fully engine-turned mid-case. Barleycorn guilloché wraps uninterrupted around the case, thanks to specially designed detachable lugs that screw in from the side to preserve the intricate detailing. Inside, clients can select from three variations of J.N. Shapiro’s entirely in-house, free-sprung movement, each meticulously hand-engraved and finished. The movement features damaskeening—a distinctly American decorative style—as well as exceptional anglage work with carefully polished internal angles. Rose gold wheels with rounded spokes complete the micromechanical artistry. Apart from jewels and springs, every single component is made and finished in the J.N. Shapiro workshop. Every piece is built individually to the client’s specifications, with a deposit structure of one-third at order placement and two-thirds prior to delivery.
