The Awake Sơn Mài – Fragments collection brings together traditional craftsmanship from Vietnam and Japan in a contemporary expression of poetic watchmaking. Each of the three limited editions — Green, Blue, and Pink — features a hand-crafted dial made in Hanoi, combining natural Vietnamese lacquer with fragments of mother-of-pearl to create a shimmering mosaic of light and texture.

The Fragments Green stands out for its organic, soothing palette. Its dial evokes sunlight filtering through forest leaves, with a natural gradient of green tones that seem to shift with every movement of the wrist. Each dial takes nearly fifteen hours of manual work to complete, following a process inspired by the ancient Japanese Raden technique. Layers of lacquer are applied, dried, and polished by hand before the mother-of-pearl fragments are placed one by one. A final series of transparent coatings seals them within a luminous depth that seems almost alive.

Beneath this delicate surface beats the automatic La Joux-Perret G101 movement, offering a 68-hour power reserve visible through the sapphire case back. Polished steel hands and faceted indexes coated with Super-LumiNova® BGW9 glow softly in the dark, adding to the meditative character of the piece.
