The Ace x Elka N-Series Essence 36 continues the line of dial-focused collaborations between Ace Jewelers and Elka Watch Company. After the Diversity Series explored numerals and the 2024 Essence removed them altogether, this edition returns to the open blue Essence dial in Elka’s smaller N-Series case. The stainless steel case measures 36 mm across, 10.5 mm thick, and 41.1 mm lug-to-lug.
The dial is intentionally quiet. There are no hour markers or numerals, only the Elka signature at 12 o’clock, non-luminous baton-style nickel-coloured hands, and a central seconds hand. The blue sunburst finish carries the visual weight of the watch, changing with the light while keeping the display clear and direct beneath the chevé sapphire box crystal.
The watch is powered by the La Joux Perret G101 automatic calibre. It runs at 4 Hz, includes stop seconds, and provides a 68-hour power reserve. The movement is regulated in four positions to +/- 7 seconds per day and can be viewed through the sapphire exhibition back. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
This configuration is paired with a cognac leather strap, adding warmth to the blue dial and rounded N-Series case. It gives the Essence 36 a softer and slightly more informal character, while keeping the concept centred on colour, proportion, and surface. The Ace x Elka N-Series Essence is limited to 50 numbered pieces worldwide.
